Hi everybody, online English teacher Fred here. Have you seen this website? It’s called BrainPopESL.com. It looks pretty interesting. It’s a nice little Flash site.

Let’s see, let’s take a look at Level 3. Here’s Level 3. There are a lot of different lessons here. “Endangered Animals” The first lesson in Level 3. We’ll look at a little sample: click the Start button…

This looks like fun. If we click on this “CC” button here, Closed Captions, then it will turn on the reading so you can read and listen at the same time.

Yes, this is nicely done.

There’s a Grammar section. In my opinion, I would say don’t use this section too much. If you like it, watch it one time. But it just makes you think way too much. In my opinion it would be a better use of your time to just go through the stories and use the captions.

Watch it the first time with the caption and then after that watch it again with the captions off. Maybe look at some vocabulary.

So, yea, my recommendation: don’t bother with the grammar too much. Just read, listen to the stories.

It’s a nice site! Nicely done. Inventions… it goes through some different topics…

It’s called BrainPopESL.com. Try it out and tell me what you think! Is it helpful? I’m going to recommend it to my English students.
