Fred’s answer: I usually fall asleep without any problems but when I can’t, then I count my breaths from one to ten. That usually works. If I still can’t fall asleep, after about an hour I just get up and do stuff until I feel sleepy again; I don’t want to lie in bed for hours without sleeping. And when I get up I try not to get worried about it and think, “Oh no! I can’t sleep!” Instead, I try to relax and think of it more like, “Wow, my life is so wonderful and I have so many cool things to do that I just want to stay up for awhile.” Also, when I can’t sleep it’s usually because I’m not getting enough exercise. So I’ll make sure to exercise more in general and maybe even right then I’ll get up and do some squats.
