This story took place in the mid-1700s.

Governor Swann and his daughter Elizabeth were sailing to Jamaica. They rescued a young man from a shipwreck. Before he woke up, Elizabeth secretly hid a gold medallion that the young man was wearing. Elizabeth glimpsed a ghostly pirate ship: the Black Pearl.

Eight years later, Captain Norrington was promoted to Commodore and he proposed to Elizabeth. Before she could answer, she fell into the bay and sank to the bottom. When the medallion touched the sea floor, it beat like a heart.

Pirate Captain Jack Sparrow rescued Elizabeth. Captain Norrington knew that Jack Sparrow was a pirate and arrested him.

The pirate ghost ship, the Black Pearl, followed the gold medallion and attacked the city. Elizabeth was captured by the pirates.
