Graded readers on Lit2Go are an excellent source of reading material for anytonge learning English. Most English students don’t do enough reading and I always encourage learners of English to read a lot. It’s especially useful if you can find reading that has listening with it, and also reading that is not too difficult for you to understand (graded reading).
Lit2Go is a website full of graded reading with listening. These are classic books and stories from English literature. Graded reader pdf are arranged by level on this page: http://etc.usf.edu/lit2go/readability/flesch_kincaid_grade_level/ . You can find something that is not too easy or difficult for you.
Lit2Go is a free online collection of stories and poems in Mp3 (audiobook) format. An abstract, citation, playing time, and word count are given for each of the passages. Many of the passages also have a related reading strategy identified. Each reading passage can also be downloaded as a PDF and printed for use as a read-along or as supplemental reading material for your classroom.
Spending just a few minutes a day here listening to classics of English literature will help you get a “feel for” the sound of English. You’ll know that you are studying classic literature, so when you imitate those books you will sound like an educated person.
These are literature selections by native speakers and for native speakers, so the lower levels will be written for children. That’s okay! Have fun with it and you’ll be learning the same English that native speakers learn as children.
In the top menu at Lit2Go, click on ‘Readability’. That will take you to the page where all of the graded readers pdf books are arranged by level of difficulty. From there, you can choose from poetry, novels, short stories, etc. to find a free download that you like.
