MOVIE: Time Bandits

VERB TENSE: Conditional Perfect

Kevin would have been an 11-year-old boy. His parents wouldn’t have paid very much attention to him so he would have felt lonely and neglected at home. Kevin would have liked to learn about history, especially the ancient Greek period. One night Kevin would have woken up when a knight on horseback came in through the wardrobe in his bedroom. The knight would have ridden off into a forest that would have appeared in the bedroom. But when Kevin turned on the light, the room would have looked normal.

The next night there would have been noise in the wardrobe and six dwarfs would have come out of it. At first, the dwarfs would have thought Kevin was someone they had stolen a map from, but then they would have seen that he was just a boy. The dwarfs would have discovered that they could push back a wall of Kevin’s room. The Supreme Being would have chased them and they would have pushed the wall to escape.

Kevin and the dwarfs would have fallen down a black abyss, and their adventure through time and space would have begun.
