Dorothy is a girl from Kansas. It’s not a very exciting place, and she feels bored. She is unhappy, and she doesn’t believe that her family loves her.

One day there is a big storm. There is a big tornado. It’s very dangerous and scary. She gets hit on the head and falls into a dream.

In the dream, Dorothy is in a strange place. Her little dog, Toto, is with her there. She meets some very unusual new friends. There is a tin man who has no heart. There is a scarecrow who doesn’t have a brain. And she meets a lion who is a coward.

Together, Dorothy and her new friends set off to visit a powerful wizard who lives far away in a place called Oz. Each of them wants to get the thing that they do not have. Dorothy wants to go home to Kansas. They hope the wizard will help them. It is a long journey, and there is an evil witch who doesn’t want them to meet the wizard.

In the end, they get to Oz and meet the wizard. The wizard helps them, and Dorothy can go home. Dorothy wakes up from her dream with her family around her. Now she isn’t bored with her home any more, and she knows that her family loves her. She feels happy.
